Word Search
Find hidden words in a letter grid.
Tutorial: Word Search
How to Play:
- A Word Search contains hidden words scrambled in a grid of letters.
- Words can be hidden horizontally (left-to-right or right-to-left).
- Words can be hidden vertically (top-to-bottom or bottom-to-top).
- Words can be hidden diagonally (in any of 4 diagonal directions).
- Drag your finger/mouse across letters to select and highlight a word.
- A word is found when all highlighted letters match exactly.
- Check off found words from the word list as you discover them.
- The puzzle is complete when all words have been found.
- Don't be deceived by letters spelling partial words—focus on the full words in the list.
Pro Tips:
- Start with longer words—they're easier to spot and less likely to be hidden backwards.
- Scan the grid systematically: left-to-right, top-to-bottom, then check diagonals.
- Look for distinctive letter combinations (like Q, X, or Z) to locate harder words.
- Circle or highlight found words to avoid searching for them again.
- If a word starts at an edge, it must go outward—not inward.
