MathDoku

Like Sudoku, but with math. Each cage has a target number and an operation. Inspired by KenKen®, invented by Tetsuya Miyamoto.

Tutorial: MathDoku

How to Play:

  1. Fill each cell so no number repeats in any row or column — just like Sudoku.
  2. The grid size determines your numbers (a 4×4 grid uses 1–4, a 6×6 uses 1–6, and so on).
  3. Each outlined cage shows a target number and a math operation (+, −, ×, ÷).
  4. The numbers in a cage must combine using that operation to hit the target.
  5. For subtraction and division, order doesn't matter — just use the largest minus or divided by the smallest.
  6. Tap a cell to select it, then pick a number.

Pro Tips:

  • Start with cages that only have one possible answer (e.g., a single-cell cage).
  • Small cages with × or ÷ usually have very few valid combinations.
  • Always check row and column constraints alongside the cage math.
